In 2010, I experienced a spiritual awakening that forever changed the course of my life. God, in His wisdom, began to remove certain people and distractions, drawing me into a sacred season where it was just Him and me. In that quiet space of separation, I discovered the joy of truly knowing myself—my thoughts, my patterns, my strengths, and my weaknesses—and with that came a deeper ability to understand others as well. What began as a time of isolation turned into a season of revelation, where I found excitement in the unfolding journey of self-discovery and divine connection.
After many years of research, immersing myself in God’s Word, and studying sociological patterns, I began to uncover the reasons behind why people behave the way they do. The Lord gently revealed to me the roots of my own conditioning—the thoughts and behaviors shaped by my youth—and helped me see them through the lens of truth rather than shame. In that process, He began to open my eyes to my true identity, not defined by past influences or worldly standards, but by my worth in Him.
Science, God’s truth, exposure to Scientology, and encounters with diverse cultures all worked together to transform my mindset and expand my perspective. What I once accepted as my family’s version of “normal” no longer fit the person I was becoming. As I explored different ways of thinking and living, I realized that my inherited patterns were not unshakable truths but simply learned behaviors. Through this awakening, I began to see that God was calling me to embrace a higher standard of wisdom, one that transcended tradition and pointed me toward freedom and purpose in Him.
My old friends could no longer condition me through manipulation, because the blinders had been lifted from my eyes. What once influenced me out of fear, guilt, or the need for approval no longer held power over my decisions. As God renewed my mind and strengthened my spirit, I began to think for myself with clarity and confidence. For the first time, I felt free to make choices that aligned with my true identity and purpose, rather than being swayed by the expectations of others.
With confidence growing in my spiritual gifts, trust in God, and the education that life itself provided, I stepped into a new sense of strength and identity. I realized that every lesson—both from scripture and from experience—was shaping me into someone who could walk boldly in faith while also understanding the complexities of the world around me. This balance of divine wisdom and practical learning gave me a foundation that could not be shaken, empowering me to live with purpose and clarity.
Once you grow beyond the conditioning of your youth, there is no turning back, because your awareness keeps expanding with each new stage of life. Lifespan psychology teaches us that growth unfolds in stages—each decade carrying its own lessons, challenges, and opportunities for transformation. In your teens and twenties, you wrestle with identity and belonging; in your thirties, you often pursue stability and purpose; by your forties and fifties, self-reflection deepens and priorities shift toward meaning, legacy, and inner peace. Each ten-year span provides fresh insight, sharpening both faith and wisdom. Spiritually, God uses these seasons to peel back layers of old conditioning and reveal more of who He designed you to be. The journey is forward-moving—you cannot retreat into what once held you captive, because every new stage carries you closer to the fullness of your true calling.
When you have the ability to look back and recall all of your experiences, both the painful and the joyful, you begin to see the hand of God woven through it all. With that perspective, He grants wisdom that teaches you not to place your ultimate trust in people—who can fail, change, or disappoint—but in Him alone, who is constant and faithful. Every lesson, every trial, and every blessing becomes a reminder that God is the only sure foundation, and that trusting Him leads to peace, clarity, and strength that no one can take away.
Confidence in your spiritual gifts is the unshakable assurance that God has equipped you uniquely for purpose, and when you walk boldly in those gifts, you move with the power of heaven backing you.
