A Journey of Faith and Service
A journey of faith and service has shaped my path over the years. Leaving Tennessee with nothing but my clothes, guided by faith and a call from God in November 2014, I embarked on a transformative adventure. From the challenges faced in Atlanta, where I ministered to women at the shelter, to the unexpected kindness of a one-legged veteran in New York who offered me shelter and support, each encounter was a stepping stone in my journey.
Living in a Veteran Community in NYC, I had the opportunity to assist men dealing with PTSD, fostering a sense of community and support. Moving to Los Angeles, despite warnings of danger on Skid Row, I found acceptance and generosity among the homeless community, who not only protected me but also provided assistance when needed.
Transitioning to San Diego and then San Francisco, where I connected with a homeless shelter and made lasting friendships, I continued my personal development and even ventured into writing and publishing books. The experiences in these cities enriched my understanding of compassion, resilience, and the impactful role of faith and service.
From Utah to Washington, DC, engaging with Mormon women fighting against opioids and sharing principles of Criminon with incarcerated individuals, each opportunity reinforced my commitment to making a difference and inspiring positive change.
Throughout this remarkable journey, I have learned valuable lessons in community, support, and purpose. Every encounter, every shelter, and every city represented a chapter of growth, learning, and unwavering faith. My mission to uplift others has been unwavering, and the profound connections forged along the way have been truly transformative.
While in Utah, I embarked on pursuing my Criminal Justice Degree. Upon returning to Tennessee, I delved into furthering my education by commencing my Master of Law studies with the goal of obtaining my PhD. Continuous learning and growth are key in my journey towards higher academic achievements.
After five years of travel and humanitarian giving, I'm back in Nashville. Where I previously dedicated myself as a volunteer Metro Police Chaplain and Federal Police Chaplain, serving my community. Through a decade of service, my horizons expanded, fostering personal growth. Now, I set sail towards financial success, educational pursuits, and self-improvement to manifest the life I envision. While giving back has been enlightening, the time has come to prioritize my own journey towards the future.
