The development of self-awareness is neither accidental nor passive—it is cultivated through study, experience, and intentional application. Over the years, I have drawn insight from a range of spiritual, psychological, and philosophical works, including The Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer, Your Word Is Your Wand by Florence Scovel Shinn, The Way of Philosophy, Personality and Psychotherapy by John Dollard and Neal E. Miller, Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard, and most foundationally, The Holy Bible, inspired by God.
Each of these texts, approached with discernment, has contributed to my understanding of how the mind is shaped—by thought, language, belief systems, and lived experience. Our life experiences and the wisdom we obtain through them shape our conscious mind, our awareness, and our understanding of consensual reality—if we choose to learn.
Knowledge alone is not transformative. It is applied knowledge—axioms lived out, principles practiced, and wisdom exercised—that creates change. This is where faith intersects with intellect. God does not merely give information; He shares wisdom through understanding, discipline, and the ability to put truth into practice.
Culture, upbringing, education, and experience all shape mindset. Yet growth begins when we choose to dig deeper—when we question what we’ve inherited, examine what is “normal” for us, and intentionally educate ourselves beyond limitation. Awareness is not rebellion; it is responsibility.
For over fifteen years, my ministry was centered on intentional thought and purposeful speech—using words of encouragement to nourish souls and uplift others wherever I go. Words carry energy. Thought carries direction. What we feed the mind ultimately shapes the life.
Scripture affirms this truth:
“Your gift will make room for you and bring you before great people.” — Proverbs 18:16
When we allow our minds to be instruments of wisdom and encouragement, our presence becomes purposeful. Let your mind be music in the souls you encounter—resonating with clarity, compassion, and positive energy.
This is discernment in action.
