Introduction
There was a time in my life when trauma was all I knew. It showed up in my reactions, my relationships, my self-image, and even in the way I walked into a room. I could feel the heaviness, even when I couldn’t always name its source.
Today, I stand in a very different place—lighter, clearer, and more at peace. This is my testimony of how Dianetics helped release past trauma, how that healing changed my “vibe,” how I discovered truth in multiple faith traditions, and why I ultimately give all glory to God for my freedom.
1. Trauma and the Weight We Carry
For years, I didn’t fully understand how much my past was shaping my present. Trauma has a way of sitting in your body, hiding in your mind, and weaving itself into your emotions. You might think you’ve “moved on,” but your reactions tell another story.
I carried emotional scars from things I had experienced, seen, and felt over the course of my life. On the outside, I could smile, laugh, and function. On the inside, there were unhealed wounds—moments I didn’t want to revisit, feelings I didn’t know how to process, and beliefs about myself that were never really mine to begin with.
Trauma doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like overthinking, people-pleasing, shutting down, or feeling like you’re never enough. Sometimes it looks like attracting the same patterns over and over, because your soul is still trying to resolve what you never had the space or tools to heal.
I didn’t always have language for that. I just knew something inside me was heavy.
2. The Day Everything Broke Free
Dianetics became one of the tools God used to help me confront and release that weight.
I remember the day so clearly. I was in a room with others, participating in a process, and as I went deeper, memories and emotions I had carried for a lifetime began to surface. At first, I questioned what was happening. Was this real? Was I imagining it?
But then something powerful occurred. I could literally feel emotions—years and years of stored pain, fear, and hurt—being released from my soul. It wasn’t just a thought or a nice idea. It was a physical, emotional, and spiritual shift all at once.
I honestly thought I was tripping, until I realized it wasn’t just me. Several people in the room—possibly even half—could feel something change. They could sense the shift in the atmosphere, like a spiritual weight being lifted.
Sometimes the things that are hardest to believe are the very things that hold truth. Healing doesn’t always look logical. It doesn’t always fit neatly into a box. But when freedom comes, you know.
That day, I walked away different. Something that had been clinging to me for years had finally let go.
3. Energy, Vibe, and the Absence of Trauma
After that release, I started noticing something: people responded to me differently.
I had always wondered why certain people wanted to be close to me. Some were drawn in, some were curious, and some thought there was something “different” or “strange” about me. Others would say they just felt better, calmer, or more uplifted when they were around me.
What I’ve come to understand over time is this: people can feel your vibe. Your energy speaks before you ever say a word.
When trauma is dominating your inner world, people may not know your story, but they can feel your tension, your guardedness, your pain. When that trauma is released or significantly reduced, there’s a different energy that comes from within—more peace, more clarity, more presence.
The wise can often sense it: the absence of heavy physical or emotional trauma creates a kind of lightness that is deeply appealing. It’s not about being perfect or never struggling again. It’s about no longer being defined or controlled by the pain of your past.
My “vibe” changed because my inner reality changed. And when that happened, the way people experienced me changed too.
4. Interfaith Learning: Finding Truth in Many Places
I come from a lifelong background in Christianity. The church shaped my language, my understanding of God, and my early sense of morality and purpose. I love Jesus. That has not changed.
But as I grew, traveled, and encountered different people, cultures, and beliefs, I realized something: God is bigger than any one denomination, culture, or system.
On my journey, I discovered that other faiths and spiritual practices also carry pieces of truth—principles about love, compassion, discipline, self-awareness, and healing that align with God’s character. Some of those perspectives helped to renew my mind and expand my understanding of how God works in the world.
While I remain rooted in my belief in Jesus, I no longer limit God to the boxes people try to create. I’ve seen that God can use many tools—Christianity, Dianetics, psychology, meditation, and even wisdom from other faith traditions—to bring healing, clarity, and transformation.
For me, acknowledging that doesn’t weaken my faith. It deepens it. It reminds me that God is not insecure. Truth doesn’t need to be afraid of other truth.
5. Gratitude to God: The Source Behind It All
At the end of the day, when I look at my journey—from trauma to healing, from confusion to clarity, from heaviness to lightness—I see God’s hand woven through all of it.
Dianetics was a tool. Interfaith learning was a path. But God is the Source.
I thank God for giving me the courage to face my past. I thank God for leading me to spaces and people that facilitated my healing. I thank God for opening my mind without losing my faith. I thank God for the freedom I feel in my soul today.
My heart is grateful that I can say:
-
I am no longer ruled by old wounds.
-
I am no longer defined by my trauma.
-
I am walking in a new state of mind, a new level of awareness, and a deeper sense of peace.
Conclusion: Living in the Light of Freedom
This testimony is not about glorifying any one method. It’s about honoring the God who can use any method to set His children free.
I once carried trauma I couldn’t fully name. I now carry a peace I can’t fully explain.
If you’re reading this and you feel heavy, confused, or stuck in your past, know this: healing is possible. Freedom is real. And sometimes, the things that are hardest to believe are exactly where your breakthrough is waiting.
I thank God for my journey, my healing, and my new state of mind. And I pray that, in your own unique way, you find the path that leads you to freedom too.
